Hey guys I just finished taking all the manifolds off my car trying to find a very nasty vaccum leak, which I did find and while I was at it I removed my 6 ports and replaced vaccum hoses with silicon ones. Well I just finished today and went to start my car up. I prime the fuel system and everything and turn it on and the cold start goes and kicks it up to 3k where it stays for a few seconds then the engine stumbles and dies. I then tried starting in gear so there would be no cold start and it idled for a bit longer then stumbled and died again. I also replaced all the oil injector lines and after it running and dieing a couple times i went to see if any oil had gotten into the lines but there is none in there. What could be causing this stumbling then dieing? Thanks for your help.

 

AFM plugged in? Mixed up vacuum lines? Huge vacuum leak between the black intake tube and throttle body?

Those are the normal causes.

 

also I tried giving it some gas to keep it from stalling but that didnt work it made no difference.

Oh I do have one question if anyone knows on the fuel rail the pressure regulator on the far right im not positive i got the right vaccum hose for that one on where does it connect to?

U of Dayton, did you figure out the cure for your RX7 engine stalling problem?

 

Yea, the car i own was previously a turbo, and after that motor blew the previous owner swapped in a N/A so there was some sensor that had to be bypassed with a wire otherwise it would cut out. I remembered there being a wire in one of the plugs and when i replaced it walah started right up.
