86 na/ wiring by the air intake

Im trying to replace these wires that i think a mouse chewed up but im not sure if I can just remove it and replace it or if i just need to resplice the wires. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im also having a charging issue with this car that baffles me. Ive bought a new battery and alternator(not at the same time though) and I keep having to jump the car to get it to start. But it seems now I cant even get it to run more than 5 mins. I hope i didnt kill another alternator but im thinking thats it. So where can I buy a nice polished one?

so i re-spliced the wires and got a new bosch alternator. Now I have a new problem which is im seeing belt dust on the new alternator. Im guessing that its not aligned right and it is in fact off a lil. Will this kill my new alternator or should i keep tryn to get this thing aligned perfect. Any clue where i could get a new alternator bracket I m sure i could use a new one. thanks for any feedback.

you will continue to wear through the belt. Make sure you have the little spacer in the right spot. If i remember correctly it goes behind the front covers mount bolt. if its on the back side of the alternator, it will LOOK close enough aligned but itll eat through your alt belts.

I tried the spacer on both sides and it still looked off, so I went and got some washers that fit the bolt and I think its closer to being aligned. Ill get a pic so yall can see.
