it is a mess of wiring...you will also need a custom driveshaft or t2 rear end/axels/driveshaft. there are a ton of threads on the subject already.

i did the s5 engine in the s4 body. you have to use all s4 electronics to make it work. injectors, afm, bps, ecu, tps. other than that its a direct swap. just wait for rotaryrocket to chime in and follow the link in his sig

also unless ur gonna premix u need to swap the front cover. and if u use the t2 tranny u need the clutch flywheel slave cylinder. if u don't use the tranny u have to switch the front counter weight to ur s4 counter weight. and if u do use the tranny the drive shaft is different like they said already. but it is pretty straight forward.

I have an s4 n/a with the s5 turbo swap, Its really simple when you have the parts. I use s4 turbo electronics- ecu, injectors, maf, throtle body, boost sensor, with the n/a wiring harness with only the tps wires extended. You need turboII fuel pump too.
I premix so no OMP for me. For drivetrain turboII trans, with a s5 n/a crossmember (just need to oblong the holes), n/a driveshaft with automatic slip yoke swaped with new u joint with grease fitting from the parts store.

the swap is really straight forward. i had no mechanical experience whatsoever unitll i bought my seven. i used directions from rotary resurrection.com. only thing id worry about is getting a quality JDM engine. lucky i received my in really good condition. no oil leaks, stuff like dat. some members on the forum receive em with blown coolant seals and stuff. i used lucky 7 racing in duarte, CA (los angeles area).

i would say just wait with the cash until you find the right car. my friend just picked up a turboII for $1,500. the car needed minor work (wiring) and now its a sweet ride. we should all be jealous of him.

I would just save and wait for a turbo2. My opinion. I just spent $2000 on mine with 67,000mi good compression and clean body just some minor issues that I can fix. (alternator, maf, some wiring, few interior pieces missing)

Keep searching and get te car you love right off the rip instead of dumping more money into something else.
