Question Is a '86 base subframe compatible with a '87 t2?

My subframe needs to be replaced due to a cracking of my differential bushing plate, (or whatever the name of that thingy that holds the diferential in place and is connected to the subframe) I dont know wheather or not I could possibly sodder it back onto the subframe, but there might be a better solution as to where my friend has a '86 second gen base version has he is junking for parts. Will my '87 turbo subframe be the same as his '86's base vers? Either way If somebody has gone though this issue, because I personnaly dont know why it happend the guy who I helped work on it said that it cracked over time and that its mazda's bad engineering, I figure if it is then someone else might have had this problem also. Please respond. Thanks.

86 is probably not LSD and the TII is an LSD rear end.
