Their stats are insanely wrong. Their figures for a NA '90 GTU is -60 in 8.6!!!! I am pretty sure that car is in the 7.7 range, right? All their figure for NA's are really high (the TII ones seem accurate). If anyone has accurate measurements or stats send them to them, this is disgraceful.

My friends won't believe me when I say my car is faster than 8.6 because of this stupid site. Ridiculous!

there infini IV is messed up, 0-60 in 7 secs when a 1990 T2 is 0-60 in 6.3
and both have a 1/4 of 14.9
infini IV was faster than normal T2. Those bitches!

 

actually those numbers seem pretty accurate.

Just mod your car and you'll easily drop to the low 7/high 6 range to 60 with not much money invested.

 

those numbers are not manufacturer quoted ones...its generated by people input. They have a submission page on there somewhere.

 

i know a guy with an infinity IV that appears to have been tickled by mazdaspeed before it left the factory, does 0-60 in 5.2 and tops out around 280kph STOCK STANDARD.........

 

That 8.6 number sounds about right for a NA. Usually 7.9 to 8.6 is fairly normal depending on options. The series 5 cars are pretty heavy (150 to 200 lbs more), and really not much quicker than the series 4 cars with 14 less HP.

The 86-87 sport and the 89-90 GTUs were the fastest NA cars, because they were the lightest.

 

You actually KNOW someone with an Infini IV? Please tell us stories.

And yeah, the lbs/hp actually comes slightly better off for series 4

 

And your talking about kph right? Its alot quicker getting to 60 kph than mph.

i have a magazine review of a STOCK 89 T2 getting 5.9 0-60...and the infiniIV has more hp

no, i mean 5.9 for a stock 89 200hp T2...not the infini

the infini review i have they did the 0-60 in 7 seconds, and 1/4 in 14.9. but they also noted that their times were greatly hindered due to their unfamiliarity with the right hand drive set up. but with 15 more hp, less weight, and the right driver it should in logic get a better time than a stock series V TII.

intresting how they were running 87 octane as well, I am sure that hindered the accelleration with the timing retarded.

 

Top speed 112 MPH?! That's a good one...on the way home from buying my TII in Columbus I notched my speed record to a nice 130 MPH for a brief spurt. :p

 

ya i noticed the 112 too....what the hell were they thinkin? And I cant believe they could only get that car to do 7.0 sec 0-60

 

Cars in Japan are legally limited to 112 MPH maximum speed.

 

yeah, now that i think about ANY JDM speedo i've seen only goes to 180km/h

180 x .621 = 111.78 mph

 

hey isnt 8.6 the same time that kid with the honda prelude does in the 1/4. you know with the 200 mph trap speed.
