Just checking to make sure everyone remembers that aftermarket flywheels need auto counterweights in manual cars. I feel it is more proper to compare the weight of the stock flywheel to an aftermarket flywheel + counterweight. I figure if you want to lighten the stock flywheel at all, go all out so you can feel the biggest difference. I think the Guru flywheel may be even lighter than 8.4 lbs, but then you have to go a 5.5in clutch. Looks like their website is being updated at the moment however. I still think a light flywheel will be one of the last mods I do. I would rather have more horsepower spinning the flywheel, than less flywheel for my horses to spin

The only thing with light flywheels and performance clutches is it can be tricky starting from a dead stop on a steep hill. Other than that, it can be much smoother than stock stuff! If your motor is ported, it may "pig-root" at low rpm in low gears....but that gets figured out real quick.

Just do it...you'll never look back.
