7k hesitation????
I have a streetported S5 engine in my 90 Vert. I get a weird hesitation at 7k rpms. I don't drive up there much obviously, but it's my understanding that my peak power comes over 7k. Am I wrong? Is this no big deal? Am i causing more harm by revving 7k anyways?
Any help is appreciated.

Funny you started this thread...My car does the exact same thing. I have a PR streetport on my 1991 n/a.
I have thought about the possibilities: and its either a slipping clutch at high tourqe (for a rotary) - but I upgraded to an ACT s/s clutch and PP...so thats unlikely. Or not enough fuel. However, I did not think that a streetported N/A would need a fuel upgrade.
Anyone know the anwser to this?

If it was ignition, it would be easy to fix.  If it's fuel, it will either mean fuel injectors, fuel filter, wiring, ECU, or something stupid - but I highly doubt this is the case.  Fuel hesistation is more like a bog - you're trying to describe a "hiccup", right?  If so, it's most likely ignition.
Would new plugs/wires in addition to a Crane Hi6 help? Or is that overkill on a streetport n/a?
Do streetported n/a's need additional fuel?

I'm assuming you exhaust is not stock? My TII did that when I first got it and it was partially clogged cats that did it. I put in a whole new exhaust, dp, high flow cat, ec.. problem went away.
But, yes. I agree with the others, double check your fuel and spark

Since you got a Kouki model, try and do an error code scan.  Another member's Kouki FC NA was producing weird hesitations up high, and it turned out to be a CAS problem...
