The 7 won't start!

Well I just got back from a 1 week trip to Hawaii, and like an idiot I forgot to have someone start up my car while I was gone.

Anyway, so I got back from my trip and went out to my car and saw that I had left it in ACC the whole time. I try to start and nothing, just a hum in the engine bay. So my battery is completely dead, or my alternator which I assumed was going to go soon. I had both replaced, and the car still won't start. The shop says they are getting no compression and can't get it to start, but they are idiots and don't know how to work with the engine.

So, I'm going to have it towed back here. What should I check for? Before I have it hauled off to a rotary mechanic(or have to sell it) I'd like to know what else the problem could be. Thanks. Btw, has around 156,000 on it.

Try the starter see if that is working, and if not, no fuel, or spark. Something might have just went wrong.

You might want to concider if the engine flooded or not. Leaving it on ACC for a week with even with a very small leak at one the injecters will cause it to flood. If the engine gets badly flooded it will get next to no compression. Happened to me once a few years bad. Had to pull start it get it going. Check the deflooding procedures in the FAQ.
