The RX7 also weighs considerably less than the Camaro, Firebird or Corvette. The T56 is geared in such a way that you'd be cruising down the highways in 6th gear at 2200rpm.

lol gas prices in the states in as much as diesel is here in panama. 95 octance goes for 2.47 a gallon

1.89 for 87 woot

and last i checked my 86 n/a was getting 21ish mpg, mostly highway to and from work

Kinda makes me second guess installing that bridged motor.. the to4s etc..

I dunno how you guys are driving, I get 24mpg on average, mixed city/highway with a completely stock NA. Gas here is $2.04 on the low end and $2.09 on the high end for 87.
