6PI kicking in late, at 6K?

It seems to me that maybe my 6PI (if you don't know what that is, don't bother trying to answer my question ) may be kicking in late, since I can feel a sharp increase in power right at 6K... aren't the ports supposed to be fully open by 5K?

Fully open by 5500 I thought... if not, mine were opening late too.

The VDI kicks in at 5800 IIRC. It sure as hell feels that way. i dont see feel anything until 5800 rpms then the car really starts moving. You dont feel a jump with the aux ports, you feel it with the VDI

Your question can't be answered properly until you tell us if you have an S4 or S5.

On the S5, aren't both the Aux ports and VDI switched via air solenoid valves by the ECU? It seems odd that the ECU would open any of those ports late, because enough pressure should be built up by the air pump to fully open each port well before their usual RPM trigger point.

That aside, here's another car's dyno with- and without- VDI; I could see the VDI being the culprit if it really was opening late:

As a side note, during my VDI setup's testing phase, I had it activated by a button in my hands while driving. I tried switching it on at various RPMs, and noticed that the VDI port changes the engine note very slightly.
