6000k brick wall.

Having a problem with my tII. Searching doesnt yield anything specific enuff. Just put in another motor. I assembled it from a used short block. The compression is pretty good, also, i installed 720 injectors (with resistors) and a twin turbo fuel pump. If i wot it, from idle, it hits 6000 then starts popping wildly and hesitating. Before on my old motor, i used to be able to get 2 lbs of boost and blowoff quite loud. Now , when it idles, it gets -20 on the guage like it used to, and when i hit it, it jumps up to 0, then drops to like -2 on the guage. Its like im not getting boost. Im almost positive im not leaking boost anywhere, and im gettting no blowoff at all. Also, even driving the hesitation is at 6000 rpm, it just brick walls. Doesnt get any boost on the way there tho. What could i have fucked up? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check to see if the turbo is good? If so boost leak period. Check all your vac lines and intake gaskets for leaking.

6k thing is fouled plugs, out of time, grounding issues. I am getting this now to and its fouled plugs.

You shouldnt be making any boost by revving it up, becuase the engine isnt under load. But if its popping/backfiring or hesitating i would check the timing, if thats good it may be running way rich.

One strange thing happened. I just happened to start running low on gas, and thats when it WOULD rev up to redline. When i filled it, started running poo again.

I think possibly my turbo may be hatched. Anybody find a nice "trick" to find out if the turbo is spooling?

thx

yea, check side to side and in and out movement of the turbo itself. you CAN make a couple lbs of boost in neutral, since you are now not currently being able to do that, it could be from the hesitation. if your plugs are fouled and it has a misfire that will kill any possible boost that was about to come up. could be way rich as well... as i had this problem with my carb'd setup a while back. check your plugs and the turbo shaft. do you have a wideband???
