6 spd tranny

hey guys i have a 1989 FC, turboII.... quick question, some one told me that the miata 6spd tranny bolts right into a fc... is this true? and if so what would be the benefits if nething.. and would i need to get a custom drive shaft?

this has been gone over before, if you own a turbocharged rotary car then there is no benefits, only losses. why would you want to spend even more time shifting than you already have to?

more gears also means they have to be more compact and more prone to breakage, the RX8 and miata trannies are barely rated for over 200RWHP.
