wipers fluttering at high speeds
This only happens when the wipers are in use.
Volvo and some other vehicle manufactures use a spoiler on the wipers to prevent this.
I may try to retrofit a Volvo wiper spoiler and see if I have any luck.
I was also thinking about replacing the wiper tension springs with new ones if they are available, or some more heavy-duty ones
Anyone else have this problem

I know that if my wipers are coming off my windshield when they are in use, that means that the road is wet and I'm probably going to fast for the conditions. It's a safety feature installed in all TII's

I too have the same issue.. Has anyone seen the new wipers from the new civic? Also, nother interesting design is the wipers from the Firebirds, where the wiper arm is the spoiler... I would love to see a new wiper design for the rx7... even if it was only the wiper arm that was remade.

Many aftermarket wiper arms have wings on them simular to the Lexus, Volvo, Etc that fit just fine on a FC.
I have a set of Titainium wiper arms/blade holders on my FC3C. A wing came standard on them.
But the biggest reason for fluttering is actually the compound that the wiper edge is made of. The more polyester in the edge, the more likely for the blade to jump as it crosses the windwheild. You want High siliconized rubber or high pure rubber as the blade, avoiding things like teflon coated blade edges.

there is a difference between wind lift and chattering though. if it is high speed skipping then you are going too fast for the wipers and a wing for aerodynamics is needed. for chatter all the time the wiper blades need to be cleaned or replaced because they are leaving residue on the window which is causing the wipers to stick and chatter/skip.
