Cool 6 ports!!

Just wondering how you make your air pump activate your 6 ports?
How are they activated stock?
how can I tell if my 6 ports are working?

i think for the 86-88 cars the back pressure opens the ports. for the 89-91 the ports are opened by the air pump. it'd probably be best to leave it the way it is for your car. but you should be able to watch the actuator shaft(dont know the real name of the thing) turn by the little vaccum things. they are supposed to open at about 4500 rpms. if they never move, take the shafts out and clean them as they are probably coated in carbon, if that dosnt help id just wire em open

Chances are, they don;t work. Put a dab of grease on each actuator shaft(the little piston thingy), then take her for a drive. Take a look again and see if the grease is smeared. If so, they work, if not, they dont. You ought to be able to turn them by hand, if they arent stuck. If you cant, dont force them, try hitting them with tons of wd-40, pb blast, or equivelant. If your really stuck with them, pm me and ill try and help ya out.

Here's a six port starter kit https://www.rx7club.com/vforums/show...threadid=26715 and here is section two of the six port series presented by RX-7 Forum https://www.rx7club.com/vforums/show...threadid=27913 this is a good one because it has a lot of links that YOU can click on and view. Needs to be bookmarked on your computer. I guarantee that next week there will be at least three requests made about the auxillary ports and how can I make them work. Oh, by the way, there's more ways to make the aux ports work than are presented in the above articles. No reason on God's green earth that a fellow can't make the actuators work at a cost of under five bucks and have them start to open at 3800 and be fully open at 5000. It took me a full month to find the search engine on this site, so don't feel your alone. Its right there at the top of the page. They knew I'd never look for it in plain site. Sneaky devils.
