6 port wont turn over with plugs out BLOWN?
So i have an S5 6 port, and i was trying to turn it over, and it turned fine for about 1/2 rotation, and then it stopped. I put the ratchet on the e shaft bolt, and pulled as hard as i could, and nothing would happen. I even broke my craftsman ratchet trying to turn it. The spark plugs were out of the motor, so im assuming its blown. Am i correct? Is there anything else i should check out? The starter cant even turn the motor over.
When you tried turning it by hand would it move at all? if not then I would say your engine is carbon locked, try inserting regular oil through the spark plug holes and wait a bit before tring again. You can also try ATF but it will also attack your seals so be aware.
No, i couldnt move it by hand. Also, when i pulled the plugs they were SO hard to get out of the holes. I had to use a long breaker bar to pull them out because the outside of the plug was corroded and stuck to the housing!
Try what rb eater said but see how far you can turn the engine backwords. You might clear the debri in the engine. From your post it sounds like the engine stoped rotating and you kept trying to force it the same way.
