Question 6 Port Actuator Prob

Hey everyone i've only been a member for a few days now, and am really enjoying the site. Anyways i bought my car 5 days ago, 13b vert. Thought id check the 2 actuators, i found that under the actuators, right on top of the manifold heat shield, there isnt any air line connected either of the two, to anything at all. I realize that these actuators need to get air feed via the air pump. So my question is, does the air line come from the air control valve? If so, where would it connect to on the ACV? This may be a stupid question for you guys, this is my first rotary. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

if it's 86-88 then you won't see a line going right to the actuators... it comes from a hole in the manifold that they are mounted on and they run off of exhaust back pressure. if it's 89-91 then you should have lines going right onto the nipples of the bottom of the actuators.

an easy way to see if they work is put some lithium grease on the actuators and see if it is displaced after taking it to 4k rpm.

edit: you can't just rev the engine, you have to rev that high in gear.

Are we even allowed to say "nipples" in this forum?
