i wany 6 gears not 5.... any ideas?

just stick in a 6 gear set or replace your 4th and 5th gear with a larger ones to compensate.

 

my goal is to beat an acura NSX first gear wise.... normally only people with 6 gears can do that...

LMAO dude! WTF...you can only beat them with 6 gears!?!?!? I've seen plenty 5 speeds spank NSX's. Dude learn a little about cars before you attempt such a race.

why not just swap you rear end gear? it's cheaper. and your not going to beat the NSX. you might out accelerate for a bit, but he's gonna shove it right up your a-hole.

 

Tweaked is right, if you need to gear down and only care about the distance between gears, swap out the differential gear.

Oh yes, you're not beating that NSX unless you sabotage it thoroughly before hand. Or the driver is really, really drunk.

Take some consolodation that your car probably costs far less then a tenth the price of the NSX.

NSX? The NSX is an overpriced luxury that only people that really love the car waste money on. Is doable bro, even with the 5 gears.

There's so many 12 and 11 second TII's down here that would rape an NSX anyday.

 

15" wheels w/40 profile tires.

Weight reduction - lots of weight reduction - extreme weight reduction.
EG: no dash, no interior, no 2nd seat, no hatch, no sunroof, no hood, no headlights, no doors, etc..

Well, maybe keep the door shells with no glass..

Then go on a diet.

are miata trannies 6 spd? I've heard on numerous occasions about swapping the guts of the miata tranny into an fc tranny shell.

 

yeah thats the easiest way to go 6speed, although there arent a lot of proven facts about the miata gears strength.

 

ive heard of the miata 6-speed conversion, it in this forum somewhere. try a search!!
