Alright, here's the series 5:
________________________
| s | q | o | m |???| g | e | c | a |
---------------------------------------
| t | r | p | n | i | j | h | f | d | b |
---------------------------------------

Here's series 4:
______________________________
| B?? | LW | GO | ??? | Y? | G?? | GW |
------------------------------------------------
| WG | (BR) | LR | GR | GY | (BG) | GB |
------------------------------------------------

Now, this is the automatic transmision version of the series 4 (thus why i have BR and BG in brackets) I believe series 4 goes by color and series 5 goes by function with a letter. So, he either cut BR and LR or he cut GY and BG, which one it is I will let you know shortly.

BR = 4AT Control Unit (AT CPU)
LR = cruise resume switch? (don't want to cut that, I'd think!)
BG = start cut relay
GY = main on the cruise switch

neither make sense to me... I don't know why you'd cut either one of the cruise switch, unless I'm reading how he did it wrong.

OOOOOH! I SEEE! I get it now! hah I feel like an asshat! He said cut the TWO WIRES that are the 2nd wires from the end, meaning cut BR and BG (the damn wires I had in brackets, hahah!) So let me figure out which these are on a series 5 car and we can give it a try!

Alright, from what I've come up with, it'll be G and J on the series 5 connector. Here's what I suggest doing, if you can, push the pin completely out of the socket and tape it up with electrical tape (that way if it doesn't work you can replace it without it being cut/etc) If you're too impatient and wouldn't mind soldering it together if it's not right, well then, be my guest and cut G and J. Here's what they are
G: EC-AT control unit (AT CPU,only for automatics so it can be cut with no worries, but I suggest you just take it out of the socket and save it just incase)
J: clutch switch (manual transmission) or inhibitor switch (AT))

Now, there's a problem. it WON'T work unless J see's 5 volts. How can we do this? Good question If I had a wiring diagram it'd be a lot easier, but J will think it's in N or P if it doesn't see 5 volts on it. You can either jimmy rig it up, or wait some more while I think up something. But we're makign progress?

Well, the s5 FSM shows the function of each terminal, while the series 4 shows a color fo the wire, and then you have to trace it down on the wiring diagram. However, they're not in the same place, as I mentioned above it's G and J that we need to take care of.

yes we r, if j goes to the clutch switch(on a 5-speedwhich it is now) , there should be a way to run the wire to it (clutch switch) which should be 5v right????

That's where the problem is, the clutch switch isn't hooked up to anything (unless you hooked it up with the ignition, but I believe that's 12v and not 5, if you have a volt meter you can prove me wrong, but I believe it to be 12v (if you even did hook it up that way)

So, do you happen to have a multimeter handy, or are should I start looking for a source for 5v?

ahh, sleep sounds good as well. I'll think about it more tomorrow and try to find a better s5 wiring diagram so I can figure out the clutch switch's wiring schematic, then we should be able to come up with something or other.

ok how about this: i find a 12+ volt power source, and run a 5v resistor from there to the clutch switch to the two wires???? sounds right??

it would make sense, if you could verify it wasn't more than 5 volts, sorry I've been extremely busy moving.
