5 lug conversion...

about to take the 4's off completely... is here anything i will need to replace?... i couldnt find this in the archives. but i am kind of rushing.

when removing the rear 5 lugs off of the old subframe we used some force the rotors are great and i am wondering if we need to use the 5lug contro arms or if it would be fine if i just put the 5 lug rotors. will the stock rear brake calipers work on the vented rotors? looks to be a size dif BUT was told that the stock calipers will work on the higher grade rx7 rotors

Don't rush **** like this...it'll only get you into trouble.

The rear control arms (forgot the proper name - toe control hubs?) are the same. You can keep the rear calipers and get non-vented rear rotors or change to calipers for vented rotors. Don't remember if the rear caliper brackets (where the calipers slide on) are the same. I think I remember the normal calipers being very close to the vented rotors if you go with that combination.

NO..the calipers won't work.the brackets will rub on the 5 lug setup..and as Santos said.Do NOT rush this Dude!....you are Playing with LIVES(especially Your own)...the Rear can be done with Five lug Spindles, rotors,Calipers and Vented discs..while you are in there replace the DTSS bushings..they will be toast anyhow,or you will rip them getting the 21mm bolt off.The front can be done with the Spindle,Hub,4 piston caliper and the Front Vented Disc.you will need the steel Line between the flex line and the Caliper(Parts Search..do it!)..You can retain the 4 lug master and Booster. If you want to just Slap **** on,it will cost you..Big time.So take your time..I want to see more posts from you..Not a Headline in the Local paper...(posted 3 minutes after .so good..don't rush!)..take care.STYX.

you can get away with putting the flex lines directly to the caliper, but you will have to Either loosen the connection at one end,or spin teh whole caliper onto the threaded portion of the Flex line..That is why I am saying that it is better to get the Flex lines and the steel Little lines that go to the caliper..The back Is NO problem though.,,straight Hook up.
