4k rpms starts?!? help
i start the car it immediately shoot to 4k rpm seems like it has a vaccum leak or something i drilled holes in the bottom of the intake box but even after i went back and covered those (b/c i thought it might be that) the problem persisted ....any idea on wtf is wrong w/ the car why would it shoot up and stay at 4000 rpms?
lol i need some help ....its not a vacuum leak i drilled a hole in my intake box and i think that is the culprit cuz it didnt have a problem till i messed w/ it ...now its shooting up to 3500-4000rpm ...any one know if that would be the cause or not

fixed it ....the air pump hose was ripped ....that was a pain in the ***....anyhow anyone know how to run that air pump hose to some sort of filter or something? i have a cone filter i want to hook up to my MAF but i cant b/c the air pump hose needs somewhere to go so any help on how to buy pass the air pump would be nice
You can get a little breather filter to go on the end of the air pump hose justr about anywhere. Also, when drilling holes in your airbox... Drill the LID. If you drill holes in the bottom you are allowing air to bypass your filter and go striaght into the TB... I wonder how well it could process a big beetle....
lol ...i dont think a little breather filter will work i have one that i tried and my car did not take well to it ...so i was thinking a big filter 3in *long by at least 1in *diameter... and has anyone run a breather filter on it? if so how big was it ect...
same problem
i had same problem and it was wierd cuz my wouldnt always go that high it woudl change. it started doin it after i changed my intek with hks mega flow intake and its true my lil filter on air pump melted cuz it was so hott in motor i think or it got sucked in.... well does ne one make a filter that goes on the end of it??
