Question 4000rpm hesitation

I've had different answers on how to cure this S2 problem.
Does anyone know the definite cure, or is there really loads of different reasons - faulty road speed sensor, bad ECU earth, bad plugs/lead etc
Cheers,
Steve

It's a 1990 NA which has been fitted with a 2.6 according to the guy I bought it from. Should be a 2.3 (?).

this happened in my brothers celica. it was his mass air flow sensor. that was a celica not a RX-7. i would sugest hooking your car to a scanner.
