4 piece pedal set

I did not know if I could post this I thought it would apply since it applies for the FC.

http://www.autovation.net/groupbuy/M...CRX7/body.html
there is presently a group buy for a three piece pedal set, from autovation, kinda like the ones sled driver made.

I have been in contact with John Walczyk from Autovation. It seems like they have not made the 4 pc set because they have not received a template for the dead pedal. I am planning to do this as soon as I get to my car, probably Saturday. If anyone else has a chance to send in a template, I think it would get this started sooner, also it might give a more accurate measurement if they have more than one template to go off of.
http://www.autovation.net/articles/tech/templates.htm these are the instructions on how to make the template and where to ship it to.
http://www.autovation.net/groupbuy/M...CRX7/body.html
you can get the group buy price and free shipping on the 3 pc set from here.

Actually. I would buy those. Those are the exact pedals I have been looking for. Thank you very much.

How long will this group buy last?

Well, I don't have a dead pedal, so I'm not worried about that. (No offense).
I just want to know how big of a window I've got before I have to order them.

Wonder if they'd give me a discount if I did the full CAD or parametric model for them? I think it's worth an email...

does this require drilling and all that? also, are those pedals pictured the ones for the rx7? if so they look kinda funky. it says $65, and that's for a set? and custom made for the FC, what about that can't you afford Wonko :P

I certainly hope that these pedals are the type that you drill in place.

I've been looking for a good set for a while.

I simply REFUSE to put a cheap assed pair of "strap on" pedals on my car. Not only do they look kinda cheesy, the ALWAYS end up comming loose and flopping around, not what you want when you are trying to heel-toe it through a corner.

Ok here is an update

the group buy really hasn't started yet. The page I gave you
is an old GB page from last year. However, we typically are only able to run these for 2-3 weeks. This means that we'll need to wrap this up by second week in June.

They have both Traditional Series (no logo) and can engrave "Turbo" on the pedals. I have a picture of the RX7FD Turbo pedal (from the 'Twin Turbo' Series) to show you what these might look like. I am not sure how to post it, if anyone wants I can e-mail it to them, so they can post it? The hole pattern will be different but the text engraving will be the same.

The following link contains group buy pricing but will need to be modified (increased about $10-15) depending on the size of the new dead pedal.

Send me the pic, i'll throw it up here for ya.
Eh, I should definatly be able to pick a set up if they're going to have it open for a few weeks.. I don't need to pay bills, when there's FC parts to be had!

My racecar is still street legal in NJ and I use 1863 OMP bolt on pedals (http://www.motorspot.com/pedals.html).

I just wanted to point out that if the motor vehicle inspector in NJ feels like a dick he can fail the car for "missing nonslip pedals". His interpretation was that there has to be rubber on the pedal and his supervisor would not overrule him. (it doesn't say rubber in the rule book - it just says nonslip)

That car has passed inspection as a racecar with those pedals since 1997 but they were looking for something to fail and this year they picked on the pedals. (last time it was "too much camber") Whatever.

Save your old rubber pedals.

PA has the same rules.... Doesn't say "rubber" says non-slip pedal pads..

My best buddy is an inspection mechanic.. he'll fail you for broken rubber pads, and has a great dislike for the "clamp on" style pedals because every time some ricer comes into the garage with them on.. they are loose. As for bolt on Metal Pads, He likes them to have rubber inserts, However, as long as they have a good traction surface, they'll pass..

On my old GTU, I got a set of Metal Racing pads and then bought rubber "feet" from mouser electronics, trimmed them, and pushed them through the holes. They are made to fit in a hole on a metal chassis, kinda like a grommet without the hole in it. That was awesome cause even with wet feet there was no slipping and they looked cool too!
