I would mind dropping some money on this. The matte finish looks great.

give the guy an email and ask if it would make the design much harder to add it. He seems rather personable, i've talked to him a few times over email. Remember, we're not the ones making it

For those of you playing along at home, I just got this email from John Walczyk:

Hello Aaron, I’m very sorry for the delay. We are very busy but I should have replied back sooner. So far everything looks great and I have given this to our machinist. He is quite backed up right now but should start on this shortly.
So i'm going to pay for the prototype set, and they should ship shortly...

I will update with information (and pictures if availible!), as I get it

I just emailed him today, to see how things are going. In John's last email (the 31st), he said it would probably be about 10 days (tomorrow?)until his machineist got to them. I'll be sure to let everyone know as soon as I get them/hear anything

Update: I just got an email from John, he said that the pedals have been finished, except for the matting (Bead blasting), and they'll ship out early next week.

Update: Recieved the pedals!

I just recieved the pedals on Saturday, and got them installed in time for the AutoCross today. They Rock! I love the fact that my shoes actually have something to grip to. They appear to be of good quality, and I didn't feel any flexing or anything like that. It doesn't hurt that they look sexy too . Installation was pretty straight forward, Their instructions were clear enough, of course, it's basically: 1) hold new pedal skin to old pedal. 2) Mark where the holes are. 3) Drill Holes. 4)Secure.

The only issue I had was that they sent 6 self tapping phillips head screws, and 6 small flat headed bolts with teflon lock nuts. The bolts worked great, I had no problem with them, I could NOT get the screws to self tap into the aluminum, and ended up stripping 4 out of 6 of them. I pulled them out, ran to the local hardware store, and $2.50 later, I had 10 flat bolts with teflon lock nuts. Yeah, I know I only needed 6, but I figured I can use them elsewhere I already emailed them about that, and I'll see what they say about just sending 12 bolts.

Group Buy Info: Currently, none. He's getting things around for the group buy and will let me know in the next few days what's going down, i'll drop everyone a PM when he does.

And now, onto the pics! I had a slight equipment malfunction, and lost my install pictures (stupid faulty reader!!), so I just took some of the pedals installed today. sorry about that.

Lemme know what you think

Alrighty, the purchasing info is here. What's cool is that he didn't raise the price, and he's only charging 10 dollars for the matte finish. I'd like to see some pics of the shiny looking finish in a car, so if one of you orders that, get me some pics Here's the body of the email:
I replied with the info about the bolts, I'm sure it'll be resolved by the next email.

Hello Aaron, I'm really glad you like the pedals! They look great! Exactly where did you end up breaking those self tapping screws? We should have supplied you bolts/nuts for clutch and brake and self tapping screw for gas/DP (this is because typically the gas pedal is plastic). I can't tell if your gas plastic? Let me know and we'll ship all bolts if you need.

Also, I've worked things out such that Group Buy pricing can stay the same as before with only $4 increase in Matte finish. Feel free to tell everyone we can start the GP Monday (I guess technically that's today) and it will run for 3 weeks. We'll take orders until July 11th (Sunday night) and then ship everything out July 12th (Monday). I'll have our machinist get going now for the early birds....

If you can get us nice installation pictures for our website this would add to your fame and glory.

Thanks a lot and please let us know if you have any questions.

John
I'm going to PM the people who said "I'm In" along the way, in case they don't see the thread, so don't hate me if you get a PM with the above text

Sub9lulu - I don't know this for sure, so don't take me literally I'm assuming that TURBO is printed across each of the pedals... you definatly want to email John, his address is jw@autovation.net if you're considering going with that style..
