Arrow 4.5K for a FC?

Hello, sorry if this post is in the wrong area
anyway i'm about to buy a 1987 Rx-7 ...NA... which has 135,000 it's a project car that my fren didnt finshed. Because he wants to buy a 240SX or FD which ever he can get. anyway is 4.5k asking too much? originallly he wanted to sell if for 5k to me. Anyway it was his baby so i know he put in like expensive oils and and collant. He was the 2nd owner.
anyway... i've been reading the forums for a while... i see a good one should run about 2k for it But since he has all these MODs does that justify for raising the price?
(i'll clarify later which brands and specifics later)...

the MOD i remember are: *there are more i just dont remember at the current time*

New tires &rims
Front and back strut bars
Dual exhaust
Rebuilt Tranny
New clutch
S4 or S5 tail lights

Broken:
Oil Gauge
driver Side power window
tear on driver seat
sun/moon roof stuck
Crack on Dash board

i'm not the smartest on the subject of cars
Should i stay away from this? or go ahead?
Thank you in advance

I was skeptic as the more I looked into this plus some of the problems that would come along the line. I suppose I was too Who knows it might have broke down the next day…anyway Thanks RX7 Community for helping me out…you guys saved me a lot of money. I didn’t buy it. If find another RX7 or look into buyone I’ll come back and ask more questions. Thank you again …

A friend asking that much? Check pricing and friend's knowledge of the value of his car.

I wouldn't pay anything over the average retail, which is probably around $2k, and that sounds high from what you posted about this one.

Yup, 2K at most with that kind of miles and its an S4. 4.5K will buy you a very nice S5 NA with lower miles.

$4500 is a lot for a Non Turbo. It better be in DAMN good shape.

For example, look at my car for sale:
http://wozzoo.tripod.com/

I'm asking $4000 but this is for a *mint* car with nothing wrong with it, a new motor, tranny, and a dyno sheet to back up the mods. you be the judge.

The only N/A worth that much is a GTUs in good shape. That car is worth $1500. DOn't buy it for more than that! I sold a '90 GTU with no problems and 98k on it for $2300. If you buy it we'll come and lynch you! Just kidding. Believe us its not worth even half that.
