Today, i was attempting to race my freinds Impreza RS ....when i shifted to 4th , another car tried to force into my lane...so i braked and then accelled again once i had room....but thgen when i tried to downshift to 3rd ....i heard a EERRRRKKK EERRKKKK sound.....i tried shifting to nuetral and bac to 3rd ...same sound and woulding get into gear......whats wrong with my car????

 

syncros going bad possibly if its shifing into gear... locking gates going bad if it decides to pop out of gear

 

I was racing a friend with an S4 and he had a problem getting in/out of third gear too... I wonder if its a common thing. Is urs an S4?

 

nah, its a s5 coupe

 

Save the syncros, double clutch it.

 

how do i double clutch??? clutch to shift to nurtral ...then cluth again to get in gear??
