3rd Brake light seal fitment
3rd Brake light seal fitment
I bought a new high mounted brake light seal but it seemed as though it was too big, didn’t fit snug against the plastic lens and it was too large to fit into the hole to begin with, is this like a normal thing has anybody else had this problem?
51-582 is still available through Atkins rotary and that is the one i received. Unless I am reading the diagram incorrectly. I've been wrestling with this stupid tail light for 2 days now. Beyond frustrating.

I am needing to replace mine as well, and was sort of hesitant to get what atkins had. The image just looked off to me, but I have no real world experience just an observation, which made me pause with ordering.
Can you tell if its the real OEM part or something they had made?
Also anyway to compare your old one with the new piece, how well do they match up shape and form etc.
In looking at my car from the outside, it looks like only the inner part of the new part would come through and be visible from the outside? Very interesting in seeing this work out and the details.
Thanks
