3mm apex seals?

has any one upgraded there 2mm rotor and seals to 3mm ? just asking cuz i heard you could and i'm interrested to see if its a good upgrade

NOT a good upgrade, more like a downgrade. 2mm seals seal better, last longer, make more power, and are stronger than 3mm seals, bottom line!

There are only 2 reasons to get 3mm seals:

1: You will tune the car very poorly, and detonate a couple times. 3mm seals will normally survive detonation, but 2mm will not.

2: You will run 40+psi of boost. Otherwise..2mm's work fine..

Waste of time...

It gives you marginally a little more protection against detonation, but severe detonation will detroy 3mm seals just as fast as the 2mm ones.

Problems with milling the rotors is that if they are not done perfectly perpendicular, the apex seals tend to seize due to the wrong force exterted on them when in use.
