Vert Headrest speakers? Quick question
I have read a lot of posts about the headrest speakers but have not found exactly what I am looking for. I am putting a new stereo (head unit) into an 88 vert. The old system died of old age. The stock speakers were working fine except the headrest speakers. From what I have read they were most likely not working because of the amp. that controls them behind the drivers seat.
Question:
also from what I have read, the headrest speakers can be made to work by bypassing the amp and connecting to the rear channel of the head unit. Is all that is required to bypass the amp a jumper wire to connect the wires coming into the amp with the wires coming out of the amp.? Will this send a signal to the headrest speakers that can be controlled by the fader on the head unit?
One more thing:
What have other people used for filler plates after removing the stock head unit? Most aftermarket units are much smaller.

if you find the wires for the speakers and want to run them straight to the cd player that will work fine you just have to find the right wires to snip and splice into i know cause this is what im doing
as far as the filler a install kit will solve that problem go to best buy it costs about 20 bucks
i just installed a kit and cd player in my 88 vert and thats what i did
