ok so I know that when u fire up your car when cold, the car should have a auto 3k idle for about 20 seconds..

here is how my car runs

start... idle at 500.. die
start.... idles at 2800ish...................... die
start..... run smooth at about 750ish

now if I hit the gas anywhere in there it will stay running..

is this a problem or normal for a 13B fi n/t with 79,xxx miles (5spd trans if matters)

not really, check you tps and thermowax on the throttlebody, My s4's sometimes did that when it was very cold. if you search cold start that might give you more info. hope this helps.

 

mine does the same thing every now and then i dont really worry about it. give it a lil gas and go. unless its an easy fix.
