3800 RPM power loss fixed! (details inside)
Finally fixed my power loss problem at 3800 RPM...
A few days ago, I was having problems accelerating after 3800. If I had the gas pedal pushed more then half way down, I would lose alot of power and it would lean out very bad. I figured either the secondary injectors were clogged or I had to re-do my grounds.
Well, I was looking at the secondaries under the hood seeing how I could remove them to look for clogging and I noticed one of the wires into the injector was on, but not plugged in all the way. Pushed it in, and checked the other wire. Now I can stomp the pedal to the floor and it TEARS through the entire RPM range!
So one of my injectors wasn't coming on at 3800 and was leaning it way out. I had bumped the wire while taking off my air pump and ACV. I hope this helps someone who has the same problem.

good job on finding the problem!
doh! i had a simmilar experience(almost cried)
after i rebuilt my engine for the first time, i wasnt even sure if the damn thing would ever fire up again(first time taking on a complete teardown and rebuild period) well, after the teardown/rebuild process i got the engine back in and hooked the wire harness connectors into the ecu,
primed the oil sytem, and proceded to fire the engine up... nothing. the damn thing wouldnt start..... so i gave up trying to start it, almost draining my battery and called it a day.
so i come out the next day to go over everything, and i came upon a harness connection to the ecu that i missed.... DOH!
connected it and it fired up the first try.
... i love easy fixes.
