3800 rpm lag
what EXACTLY is causing this? its not a sticking aux port, they were taken out. so what else is causing this? and how do i fix it? or can i? how much is it to fix?

Well, 3800 is where the secondaries come online, so there are a lot of reasons and explanations, but as long as you have a good motor ground, a pill in the boost line, it's probably just too much fuel. I didn't have the problem, then added a S-AFC and later got the problem. After replacing the main engine harness, I still had it. Bought the boost pill, still had it. Grounding was good.
Noticed with an AFM that I was very rich at 3800. Dialed it back, runs like a champ. Even passed smog when it's running right.

hmmm.............rich and lean never thought of that i will have to lean up mine, i got a dial i just turn L/R!! mines towards the R more!! i only get it when i stomp on the gas passed 4000 rpms but if i ez it, its fine!! could be a plugged fuel filter also!!

Ya, there are 1000 threads about it and an entry in the FAQ. For Pete's sake go look. It's a lag before the secondary fuel injectors fire. It's an electrical problem, often caused by bad ECU (engine control unit) grounds or another weak link in the chain to send power to the secondary injectors past 3800rpm. Just check the FAQ and search.

3800 RPM hesitation is the word you are looking for. A lot of times it's frustrating because people use other synonyms in their thread titles than the ones you are searching with. Some threads don't even have a useful searchable title.

i had that problem until i found out 1 one the secondary injector clips was loose. and touching every now and then. I also added some grounds, now i have perfect idle and all...
