3800 hesitation
I've seen so many messages about the infamous hesitation I hesitate to bring it up again. My 87 TII has it but it goes away after the car is warmed up but usually will continue the hesitation when the outside temp is below freezing. Bought the car 2 years ago and it is stock with 77k miles. When it is warmed up it is as strong as can be expected. Has anyone made the 3800 hesitation worse or screwed something else up trying to fix the problem. I can live with it but I could live a little better without it. Don't knock stock 'cause it beats driving anything else you can buy for a few thousand dollars. No offense to anyone who makes a good thing better though.

It's electrical related, so the short may fix itself after the wires expand from the heat of the engine.
The other hesitation comes from cracks in the intake or a cracked metal intake manifold. That one happens randomly at any rpm range but mostly in 5th gear while applying slightly agressive acceleration.
