3-Way valve Question?
I'm wondering if there are any aftermarket (3-way valve) mods i can do?
I had broke one of my four (3-way valves) on my 87' n/a and removed the other three. So i ordered more from mazda and they screwed me, typical! so instead of buying the other too i was wondering if there is mod i could do or should i just leave it stock?
ANy replies would help!
Thanks

Don't know if you have emissions testing or not?
There are two different "varieties" for the solenoids, 2 for each type...
It's a simple 12v solenoid, there should be plenty of aftermarket parts out there for replacements if you know where to look. You just need to figure out which type you'll need for the particular spot you want to put it in.
For instance, does it remain normally closed, then opens up when energized, does it vent to atmosphere or not, etc...

They're practically free at the wrecking yard.
By the way, the question was vauge and leaves one wondering what/which valves/solenoids your referring to.

It is a air filter (see the free, online fsm if you don't have one).
The solenoid valves are all the same animal. The FILTER can be pulled off and installed on any of the nipples. (I learned that from the Icemark).
That's not to say the arrangement of the filter on the valve does not make a difference. It does of course.
So give us the color of the colored dot on the solenoid OR the color of the electrical plug.
If you broke a nipple off it, you can repair that. Get some five minute epoxy and a toothpick. Put the toothpick in the broken off nipple and then into the broken hole on the solenoid. Glue the two together and let it sit overnight. Put vaseline on the toothpick prior to its install so it won't bond to the plastic. Remove it the next morning.
