3 in. exhaust on N/A?

If you have removed your airpump(and no backpressure is needed) is it better to get 3 in. exhaust piping for a N/A? I currently have stock exh. manifold to straight pipe to Greddy power extreme catback, and i want to get rb header and add a borla xr-1 muffler before catback (soooo loud right now!!) but wondering what 3 in. piping would do?

3in is unnecessary for an N/a 2.5 split to 2 1/4" y-pipe is optimal from what i hear, the bigger the tubing the louder it is, try a corksport header to 2.5" borla XR-1 stainless baby ^_^, also are you s4 or s5 ? if its an s4 you'r aux ports will open later with decreased backpressure, some people remove aux ports but honestly proper working ones is a thousand times better

you wont get a deeper tone with a 3". it will just be louder and you might possibly lose power because you have decreased the exhaust velocity. 2.25-2.5 is the ideal ID piping for any N/A car.

if you want a deeper tone.... get a piston powered car with a fart cannon

If you want a deep tone, go with the RB exhaust. None better.
