3 Codes Thrown Help Me Fix Em!
I checked the codes for my 1989 S5 TII. I had a check engine light on during boost so I checked them out. Here is what I threw
1. Split Air Solenoid Valve
2. Port Air Solenoid Valve
3. Solenoid Valve(accelerated warm-up system
1. My split-air pipe has block off plate on it, it was like this when I bought the car, how do I fix this solenoid problem, where is this solenoid at. I'm looking at my diagrama and cannot find it.
2. I don't even know what this does or where it is located, help.
3. Okay wait, I don't even see the AWS on top of my throttle body, maybe that is why this is going off, However if I start it in neutral it revs to 3k,(isn't that what AWS is?). Can anyone help me with this ****? Thanks in advance.

I get the same codes.
If you have the split air solenoid valve blocked off... ignore it.
You don't even use the port air solenoid valve after 20K miles.
If the AWS system has been removed (as is mine) then ignore that as well...
If you want the codes to go away... well.. I dunno. I guess you could just plug the solenoids back in and have them run "dry". If you find out another way.. let me know. I have the exact same codes showing.

This is probably stupid... but I wondered how the ECU knew the device wasn't there... maybe just reads the resistance... would a resistor of the same ohm reading on the solenoid make the ECU think its there...

I don't know about your last question there. Do u have an n/a or turbo? Because I'm wondering why my check engine light comes on only when boosting....Someone said I was knocking, but I doubt it, I'd have a strong-*** engine then b/c it would have been "knocking" quite a bit lately......
