2nd gen LSD diff specs
Anyone have specs on 2nd gen LSD diffs? I'm looking for diameter of ring gear, length of pinion, is the LSD clutch type, torsen, number of splines, etc... for all 2nd gen years and models.

shop manuals (links found in the FAQ for FC sticky thread at the top of this section) will give you the pinion lengths and spines.
as far as the LSD diffs themselves you will have 5 different models found on the FCs.
Non turbo diffs which are all 7" gears, and Turbos diffs which use the 8" gears.
On the 86-88 Non turbos with LSD; you had a clutch style 7" gear LSD
On the 89-90 Non turbos with LSD; you had a visocus 7" gear LSD
On the 87-88 Turbos you had a Clutch style 8 " gear LSD
On the 89-91 Turbos (except Japanese Infini models) you had a Viscous 8" gear LSD
On the 89-91 Infinis you had a Torsen 8" gear LSD
as far as the LSD diffs themselves you will have 5 different models found on the FCs.

Does anyone know HOW you measure the ring gear diameter? Do you measure to the very outside diameter of the teeth?
