2nd gen GX. please help :)

Hi....I have a 1987 Mazda Rx7 GX and i was wondering:

1) does this model have a limited slip?

2) what are the rear end gear ratio?

AND FINALLY

3)Should i go LT1/LS1 or Turbo II (what is the approximate cost of the turbo II swap?)

THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH

I assume you have a GXL, not a GX.

Isn't the luxury model in canada GX? If so it might have came with LSD. Jack up the rear of the car and turn the a wheel, if the other wheel spins the same way, you have LSD, if it spins the opisite way you have Open Differntials. Try searching..

The GX model is the base model of the GXL...
So you probably have 14" phone dial rims.
Most lickly does not have LSD.
I don't know the exact #'s on the rear diff but its the same as all GXL's and Turbo II Models. The only ones that are different are the automatics i believe and GTUs models.

GX was a canadian model, but not the luxury. We still have the GXL.

GX is a four lug model with p/s, sunroof, and power mirrors, manual windows, small brakes.

They did not have LSD. They had a 4.10:1 rear end ratio.

Won't comment on the piston vs. rotary

Its not the base model.
The base model is the base model. IE: manual rack, no tilt steering, no center console, nothing.

There was also the Canadian GT model....
