2nd gen GTU and GTUs question
Saw an ad on ebay for a 1989 GTUs. One thing that I found interesting is that the redline starts at 8k not 7k like I have seen. I can't seem to find any info what/why/how this model has an 8k redline. Thanks a lot for any info.
P.S. the ebay link is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6327

Just a side note if you are looking to purchase that car, GTUs's have no collectors value other then whats in peoples heads. 8,000 is WAY over priced for that car. A good solid offer is 3500 - 4000 dollars for that car, It is incredibly clean, appears to be mechanically sound with a rebuilt motor. Shop around prior to buying your first Rx7. 8,000 is avg to high for a low miles clean S5 T2.
I only say this because years ago, on my first Rx7 I got taken for a ride by the previous owner. Just because it's an Rx7 doesn't mean the price tag should jump up through the roof.

To sum it up, it looks like a nice car. It has 4.33 gears in the back instead of 4.10 or (correct me if I'm wrong) 3.90 in the auto models. I think these are over priced as S5 TII cars have more potential.
