Worn out TPS - video example

I floored it 3 times. You can see the throttle by watching the boost gauge at the lower left.
Drop outs in the TPS sweep were causing fuel cuts (big time).

good info... try putting up the words above the rpm guage... the words and video quality makes it hard to see where exactly the needle is going... however it is visible...

Yea - It was late and I was pissed. I had planned to run in a really nice autocross that day.
I got the replacement TPS a few days later.

It first starts to show when you're driving, the it gets worse like this.

The TPS brackets are different, but you can swap the black resistor & plunger assembly.
It is held to the bracket by a thin metal cover whose tabs can be bent to remove it.

The TPS ohms sweep was erratic.
When I replaced the TPS, the cuts immediately cleared up.

It started as just a little intermittant miss while driving.

Then it jot this bad while driving. (Strenghtens you neck muscles)

Zooo-sputer-sputter-ZOOOOM. (And that was before the light flywheel)

**** it, it's one of those wear items that after 15 or so years is bound to go out after being open and slammed closed over and over and over again not to mention the grime and everything else that gets on there probably doesn't help either.
