im using a fierro fan and love it, it will actually wedge between the two end tanks so you only need 2 zip ties at the top to hold it flush.

i know those also go into installing, which may also help, but they also mention a couple of possible fans to use and why.

^ phew, i was worried for a sec that i was going to have fan blade clearing issues. after reading Kevin's write-up, an Efan won't make THAT much of an improvement over the stock fan, however an aftermarket radiator will make a drastic change to how hot the car will run. so for now i figure i'll stick with the oem fan, the new radiator should be plenty (car never goes over 1/2 anyways, and 1/2 is only when it's been idling in traffic for 10 minutes in those crazy hot FL days).

thanks Casio.

I use a 16" perma-cool "finger chopper" (ala no guard on it) it pulls about 2900cfm and works like a champ. Fit's perfect.

No fan shroud. I had one on but it keeps it cooler without a shroud. I know it sounds weird but I guess it's the way they designed it.

I have the fan going to a relay and use my E6K to control it. It's an accessory wire (I can give you exact name of the wire and the setting tab I used on the haltech program when I get a chance to look at it, the car is in Dallas at the moment getting some clutch work and tuning done, I can tell you the tab tomorrow when I get a chance to look at the haltech program on my laptop). Anyway I have the Haltech set to turn the fan on at 190 and shut it off at 185. I used the thermostat switch and controller from permacool (a seperate part) but it didn't work very well for me, I had a bad relay though i found out after I switched it over to the haltech so that may have been the problem before I switched from the permacool thermostat and switch.

I use 2 x Spalfans on a custom radiator. They are mounted directly
on the rad with a plate as shroud, as seen in the picture.

I had a Fiero efan in my car and it could not keep up once I moved down here. Temps were always between 195 and 210 just normal driving without AC on. I put the stock fan and shroud back in and now my temps stay between 150 and 180, AC on or not. I won't ever use an efan again.
-John

P.S.- I used the Painless Wiring Electric Fan Controller....very easy to install and works great!

I use an escort e-fan. Used to have it set up through a probe for a thermostat to have it turn on at about 190 but it was working extremely shitty and I didn't want my car to overheat (got iffy a couple times, this was all before the rebuild too btw), so I just have it set up to be on all the time. Temps stay around 178ish to 185 all the time measured by an electrical water temp gauge at the block.
