2nd Gen Body Kits

Hi,

I'm not much of an RX7 guy yet. I just picked up an 89 GTU along with 2 crap hyundai's all for $300. I am selling off the other 2 cars for more than that, so I basically got the RX7 for free. I've worked with hondas's a lot , but not with this yet. I am getting a motor built by Rotary Performance in Virginia. I own an audio company, so I will be redoing the interior and sound system. That leaves only the exterior to be done.

I looked through the gallery here and found a couple things I like. This is the first:
https://www.rx7club.com/photo/data/3...atAutoBuzz.jpg

Does anyone know where that kit comes from?

The other is a little more simple, but I like the sides: https://www.rx7club.com/photo/data/1232-gallery-92.jpg

Please let me know if you know where to get those, especially the first one.

John

Re: The first car. Along the windshield, on the wing, and all over the wall it says Pan Speed. This kit is hard to come by though.

That's an understatement.

And the Erebuni one needs work to be fitted properly from what I hear. But has the potential to look good.

Hmm.. I figured the one was a Pan Speed kit, but I can't find anywhere to order the kit from. Was that just a one time deal they did for a demo car? Or is there somewhere you can buy the kit from?

If I can't get that kit, I'm going to go with one of the Mariah Motorsports kits. Their Mode 6 widbody kit is kinda cool:

I think it would be pretty tight to have the official Mazda racing body though. It's the GTO II at the bottom of the page:
http://www.mariahmotorsports.com/racing_body_pkgs.htm

Any thoughts on that? Anyone seen one in person?

i say if your gonna spend money like that....just buy the RE Amemiya Wide body kit!! it is on this page:

http://www.rx7.com/pics/fc-amemiya-front3.jpg

you could always do a differesnt custom paint job. also if you are intersted in making your money back on the kit you purchase...consider allowing someone to make a replica of your kit and sell it till you get your money back. everyone here is looking for some good deals, even if it means a replica. headlights kits as well. consider those options.

Badboy, that kit is pretty sweet too. Do you know how much it is or where you can order? Or where there is a side view pic?

Panspeed is the the best kit next to the RE Amemiya 2k kit, IMO.
That kit that BadBoy put up is from www.rx7.com, and it is the RE Amemiya kit.

I really do like the Panspeed kit I just can't find anywhere to get it from. Also, that RE Amemiya kit isn't on the rx7.com site. They have fronts listed and rear spoilers, but no sides or full kits.

The scissor door AVO kit is out of australia I believe.

http://www.turboclub.com/avo/

The other kit is out of japan, so attach the picture in an email and send it to our california importer aerodyne industries at info@aerodyne.net ; aeroinfo@pacbell.net (yes use both email addresses in your email)

Pan Speed and Amemiyas Kits are both manufactured by Bomex. They are different design but the manufacturer are the same. I would bet if you inquired to the place your ordering Amemiya stuff from they could help you. Here is Pan Speeds phone# and Fax# I don't think thier english is that good but if you faxed them I am sure they would reply.

If you asked real nice I could call them and ask them how someone in America could purchase thier body kits.

Phone# (048) 764-2040 Fax (048) 764-2041

That bumper sells for about 650$ The Hood is over 800$ and the over fenders are about250$

I actually own a business here. I do audio systems for both home theater and car audio. I recently got into the import craze. I set myself up with dealer accounts from several places to get body kits for my projects cheaper for myself. I'm talking with Aerodyne Industries now about some kits, including the pan speed one. That kit will be my second choice. I really want that AVO kit though. I do have an international shipping company that I work with, so I may be able to pull off a few deals working direct with the manufacturers and importing myself. I'm not trying to make any sales off the forum here, but I may be able to hook some people up here and get myself a better deal. Email me privately johnj@stryke.com or send me an ICQ , yahoo, or AIM message. I don't want to use the forum for this.

The kit can be found at a few places.....it's not like your kit is a secret heh.

You one of those guys who refuses to open his hood and show what you have?

Was just curious.....$675 isn't too bad, but Im still sketchy about paying that much for a bumper. Thinking of going with one of the Bomex fronts when I do. It will be my last thing I do to my car.
