I am about to purchase an 1987 N/A rx7 but the 2nd gear grinds. The guy told me he would have the tranny installed for free if I could buy a tranny. So I was woundering if someone could tell me where I could get a low milage tranny online?

 

Oh ya and I am also woundering if any of the models came with A/C or no Power steering cause this one has neither.

 

I balive the only FC to come without AC is the 91 infini sold only in Japan. Yes some models came without PS.

If the second gear syncro is warn how bad? Just drive it as is or have the syncros replaced at a tranny shop.

 

the 2nd gear is so bad you really cant drive in it you actually have to just shift from 1st to 3rd. And I am really low on funds right now so I dont want to pay like 500 to get it fixed I rather spend like 300 on a new tranny and get it installed for free. Do you know any sites where I could but a low milage tranny?

but a/c is a good thing

 

PSing and AC are for those without the manly muscles espcially where you live (Illinois), I beleive that it should be removed, since its cheaper to maintain the car (and reach your spark plugs!) without that crap.

(Unless you live in Cali or something, AC is good then, you're not wimps).

 

some euro editions came with no AC......power steeering is helpful to drifters... for anything else you can yank it
