They're ET32...would be considered "medium" offset.

how did you figure that out?

did you take some measurements, its not stamped anywhere.

thats too bad if they're +32, I was hoping they were closer to 20. The Grand Marquis & Crown Vic rims seem to have much lower offsets, almost closer to zero. also mine weight in at 16lbs each...

All RWD Ford cars of that era were .75" (ET20) or 1.25" (ET32). The way they filled out my wells with 225's I just assumed the higher ET...they may be ET20, it's hard to eyeball 12mm, really. There are no stamps and all the wheel reference guides our there just list it as "M".

Yeah the Grand Marquise/Crown Vic HPP both both have a "0" offset.

Just a "for the record" type post. I don't know if RRTEC had to use a spacer, but when I put TII calipers on there's a raised portion that hit my wheels. Just a heads up for people who want to use the LSC Speedlines...you may need a 5mm spacer.

I have the crown vic wheels (0 offset?) but I haven't gotten around to getting tires or mounting them yet. I'll prolly go 225/45/16 I'll post pics when I get the chance.

BTW, what happened to the pics in this thread?

My website changed. I'll have to get new ones up.

45 seems a little short...why not 50 as is the norm?

I have 50's on my FD wheels. They just look a little beefier than what would be ideal. Plus the sidewall should be a little stiffer, the OD will be a little smaller which should
A) enhance acceleration (slightly)
B) allow me to drop the car lower
C) make breaking traction just a little easier

I'd shoot myself if I had 60 series tires, its like an otherwise pretty girl with huge cankles lol

I had 60's to begin with...I actually liked the look and the stance....but handling was compromised. I like my 50's...but I've never tried the 45's. I may try them to bring the gearing down just a bit. I hate having 2800 on the tach in 5th at 70...makes the engine feel gutless.

I auto x w/ the 225/50/16's but I live down the street from a used tire place and he can get be whatever I need so I figured i'd try out something different to roll around town...

....and wouldn't smaller tires require higher rpm to achieve the same speed? Is it n/a? it might not be the gearing

It's not all gearing...a lot of it is me used to a 328i with all 200lbs of torque available pretty well off idle...a lot of it is, though, the fact that the S5's are strung out and they use the same tall trannies.

For those who developed an interest in these wheels...I'm selling a matched set. High offset LSC fronts and low offset Crown Victoria rears. Asking $150 and shipping.
