Im thinking of selling my TII.
I just got it about a couple of months ago, but I think i have a good oppurtunity...

I can sell mine and with the cash buy:

87 TII 100,000 miles
Paint is bad and it has a couple of dents.
freshly built tranny (feels awosome)
Act Clutch (its alot beefier than mine)
(new master cylinder)
New brake rotors/pads
Rebuilt and Streetported engine (200-500 miles on it)
New hoses
New engine/tranny mounts
Racing Beat Turboback exhaust
EBC
720cc ijnectors
The interior is actually better than mine. And it has a working radio.

87 TII ~90,000 miles (not positive)
Paint is not that good either.
Interior is the ugly maroon color.
Everything is working mechanically
Not sure about the electric stuff.
Car is totally stock.

I would probably strip the first car and use it for racing. (And mod it more )

The seccond one would be my DD, stock...well maybe an exhaust down the road...
And I could use the black interior and sound system from the other one to replace the maroon color.

I want to race and i cant use my DD to do it...so that is some of my reasoning...what do you guys think?

 

Any specific reason why you'd want to sell your current TII? Just looking for more project cars?

 

Well I really want to race it (road coursed, drift events, and a little drag).
So I want it stripped out with a cage.
And I cant daily drive a car like that. So I need two
If I sell mine, for the price im getting i can buy both of these.
Drive one daily, and race the other one/ drive it on weekends.

 

Sounds like it'd be fun! If you're willing to pay the extra costs that might arise after you fix both these TII's up then there's no reason not to. Have fun with 'em!

 

Go for it man. How much are you selling yours for? I'm semi-local so I was just wondering if you had a buyer and if you don't go through with both cars be sure to let me know.

Also do you need to get a standalone if you want to upgrade the turbo?
Im looking for ~300-50whp (in the race car), but i want the turbo to be efficient, with room for some more flow if need be...

i hope you have another car if u plan on selling ur T2 for two more high miles T2

 

well mine has 80K so its only 20K and 10K more respectively...not that much.

 

Yep doesn't matter if the engines are fresh.
