2 Quick Questions With Pictures

Ok, Just figuring out some loose ends here, both have to do with engine vacuum in a way so here goes, in the first pic, well, i hope its first when this is posted (side view of engine, red car) in the green circled area is a set of vacuum lines connected with a T, however, one of the lines on the T is capped and I noticed that I have a capped brass end by the BAC, just wondering if the caps are supposed to be connected or if you guys have the 2 caps as well.

Second, In the red circled area I have a large hose circled, it comes out of the intake between the 2 large runners. Can someone tell me what the hell this hose goes into and is it important?

Thats it, hope i was clear enough on the first one.

Attached are two jpgs. Can you narrow things down? The first is of the left side....the second of the rear/right side of the manifold/dynamic chamber. The third is a simplified schematic of the air bypass that is related to the second jpg.

Have no idea about the s5 pic. I'll need a better pic of the vac lines in the s4 - I can't tell a thing from what you've got there...

S4 NA and S5 NA vacuum diagrams below ...

That should cover most lines for S4 NA:

http://www.geocities.com/huguesdc1/faqvacuum.html

There should be a vacuum diagram somewhere on the hood ... If you have it, please post a picture of it so that I can put it on my site for reference purposes

If you have an S5 NA, somebody took a pic of its vacuum diagram on the underside of the hood and posted it not too long ago.

Here for S5 NA:

You should take close range pics or be more descriptive.

The thing is, there shouldn't be a 'T' in the vac lines in there, which says to me that someone has been fiddling with the setup (you can see by the intake that other mods have been done.) Since it doesn't sound or look like it's stock to me, a better picture of things would make it easier to answer the question. I don't think that pics/diagrams of stock setups will help...

Well, if you understand the stock setup, then it will be a breeze to figure out whatever you got (modded or not), or maybe it's just wishful thinking.
