my fc drives great, but when i really push the gas down i don't have the power i used to. I can tell there is an exhaust leak before the cat and i am going to check it out tomorrow, but would this cause me to lose so much power? the cars timing is right, there isn't hesitation.

My other problem is pretty minor for now. When i turn at low speeds and let the RPMs get low it seems like i lose my power steering. when i rev it back up it can corner again. thank you for any input.

Try a general tune up.

Check your PS belt. It might be old/slipping/cracked.

 

i have changed everything, the car was sitting for a while so i have new plugs, wires, fuel filter all the basic stuff, any other ideas
