2 hoses connected to the stock IC question

I bought the ARC stock IC and noticed it doesn't have the 2 outlet pipes that the stock IC has near the passenger side firewall. Are these hoses dealing with emissions stuff? What are they used for?

Thanks,

Tim

Thanks for the quick response. Now I have to figure out if my j-spec ecu (from japan) won't kick out an error code if I take it off.

The other jobber is for the power steering. It feeds, from the intercooler, the Air Supply Valve. Now that's something that needs removal. Its useless. Only a whimp would have power steering.

Make a blockoff plate and get rid of it.
