Rear Seats were an option on just about all FC RX-7's. This has been covered many times, try searching next time.

I love not having back seats, I hate being badgered for rides everywhere, and this way I don't have to feel too bad when I tell them I can't give anyone a ride because no seats.

Haha. Okay, here's what the back seats are like. Flip up one of your storage bins. Now sit in that hole. Seriously, that's where the back seats go. I think it was a $200 option ($400 in today's money). dobbles, I think you could get the back seats anyway and even if they ask you once they won't ask you twice.

Back seats are great for 3 things, a slight insurance discount depending on your county/state, Kids between 5-11, and the ability to recline the front seats much more.

I've had occasions when people have been in the hatch...oddly enough it was their choice, so I made sure they regretted it later

No back seats are the best. If people do ask for rides, pick the hottest girl and you're set.

lets see im going on 21 in march,
no accidents ( that they know of hehehe) minor dints and fender benders.
no tickets
or warrants
arrests
rear cloth seats in the back of my 91 GXL. is about $75.12 a month.
im happy because i used to pay about $89.65 bout the sametime last year for an 1983 Toyota Supra... ??? leaves me confused... but i guess its getting lower as i get older... there real easy to put in but it takes bout 30mins - 1 hr. if your like me and like to take your time.. expect you'll need the carpet for the back of the seat to cover the back. i have a piece of cardboard taped on that has the basic outline of the seat shape. so next time i have money and time go to a carpet store and get the size and cut it and make the holes for the fastners and bam.. sure its not offical but it looks good to me

As stated, they go in and out fairly easily. But for the complete set, you need not only the seats, seat bottom and backrest, but also the seatbelts and the shock tower hasps that hold the seatbacks upright plus all the associated bolts

People under the hatch spells trouble in terms of unwanted LEO attention if not a ticket. Kiss your insurance rates good bye, so good luck! Never mind having that person roll around the car like a bowling ball if you have a collision and their lawsuit against you if you are rear ended and they get hurt. Their lawyer is going to be looking for all the deep pockets or insurance coverage he/she can find. Not worth it.

there is a reason they make seatbelts and seats, can you imagine if you rolled your car and it ended up looking like this?

now you have 4 dead friends, good luck enjoying your prom with no friends you idiots

about the having people ride in the hatch, I know, that's why i get super mad, but like, im the kind of person who won't leave someone stranded, and I'm not going to make laps back and forth to drop everyone off individually, sometimes you just get stuck in those situations.

I'm pretty sure MOST people who haven given people a ride in the hatch would have preferred not to.
