Hey all, I bought a 90 vert recently with an airbag light on, I am trying to figure out the reason for the light being on. Service manual says the possible cause is “faulty diagnostic module(system-down fuse burned)” can anyone tell me what this means and how I can fix it? Thank you.

 

check the fuses, and if they are all ok, you replace the diagnostic module.

plan B is to take apart the diagnostic module, the capacitors go bad, and need to be replaced

 

There is a procedure to reset the air bags, I will not quote it, but it involves cranking the ignition off and on 3 or 4 times and leaving it on to reset the air bag codes.
