no more than 1800 really depending on exterior quality, and interior/leather condition what "few pieces" are missing and what is "good" condition... I'd start at about 850...

I will swap the tranny out with a manual. Probably will install a JDM T2 engine. interior is all there except shifter surround. Exterior does not have any damage.

Paint condition? If paint is "good" and the top doesn't look bad OR leaks... then i'd say.... 1500? It is a S5 afterall... Definately not more than 1750, and thats high.

$1800? For a vert with no engine and an auto trans! I don't think I would offer more than $750. I paid $1200 for mine, good body, no rust or dents, good engine, manual trans, needed a top (did it myself for $300). Mine's an 88 so that might be the difference in price, but anything over $1000 seem high to me.

First 1800, then 1500, then 1750 - WTF! I hope your talking in CDN $ as anything more than 7-800 is a waste. You can find verts in the off season with blown engines for 1800 all day long.

they go for 5-8K

body only - 800 thats all its worth - too much to fix and replace if parts are missing

i know first hand, just did this very project

Just got back from the auction. I got the car for $250.00. Everyone was scared because their was no eng in it. After all fees and tax walked out with a 325.00 total cost. Got the car home and found some goodies in the trunk and hidden under the convert top, stater, alt, intake, air flow meter, injectors. Basically everything except the short block. Stereo surround and shifter surround are missing also but will do a manual tranny swap anyways.. Thanks for all the inputs... I'm usually in the 1st gen section because I own 2 RHD SA's. You guys here are great also.

You'd better go find a wreck to transfer missing (not in the truck) parts from...

If you need "little"parts, Mazda is going to kill you. You will also need to find a 'core' engine.

Good luck with it.

best bet is finding a non running s5. Rebuild the engine and you ahe a complete source for parts. you will be surpesed how many clips, brackets and alike you will beed. Also, since this is your first 2nd gen, it will service as a template as to whats needed
